Pacific Palapa House

Cliff-top house on Mexico's Pacific coast. A great oval palapa of palm thatch on round timber columns shelters a linen lounge and a long parota table beside a curved infinity pool. A board-formed concrete library with a desk opens onto the deck, a sunset terrace holds a daybed, and a walled entry patio with a fig, palms and a stone rill leads in through the zaguán. A garden path winds down the cliff to a mirador banquette, a morning desk, a bench by a still-water basin and a hammock.
