Use Locus while lying down.
Viewing position tilts the Room and View together so the Place stays in front of you when you recline. It is available in Locus 1.1.2 or later.
Adjust your viewing position
- Enter a Virtual Space. Reclining does not tilt Room Portal.
- Open Settings.
- Expand Viewing position.
- Move Recline angle toward Lying down. Choose any angle from 0° to 90°. The Room and View move together around your viewing position.
- Move each window separately. Use its window bar to place it where your eyes, neck, and hands are comfortable.
The angle lasts for this app session. Changing the View or Room keeps the angle. Starting a new session returns to upright.
Return upright
Open Settings → Viewing position, then choose Reset to upright. Setting the angle back to 0° also restores upright viewing.
Real desk alignment is paused while the angle is above 0°. Return upright before aligning the Locus desk with your physical desk.
If the result feels wrong
- Confirm that you entered Virtual Space, not Room Portal.
- Adjust the angle gradually instead of jumping straight to 90°.
- Move your app and Mac windows after changing the Room angle; Locus does not move system windows for you.
- If you changed your physical position, choose the current Room seat again so the Room can settle around the new viewing position.
Stay aware of your surroundings. Use a stable position, keep the headset and cable clear, and stop if the angle or posture feels uncomfortable.
